Palmer's Olive Oil Formula Smoothing Shampoo for frizz prone hair review

Hello, my beauties. I hope you all are doing well. So today we are going to be speaking about shampoos, which basically everyone uses. I have with me Palmer’s Olive Oil Formula Smoothing Shampoo for Frizz-Prone hair. I got this shampoo online after seeing the impressive label which states moisture-rich formula for strong, shiny hair. Since a kid, I was always obsessed with smooth silky hair which they show in advertisements. I have frizzy hair. The most important thing which caught my attention was

  • No Sulfates
  • No parabens
  • Gluten-free
  • No mineral oil
  • No Phthalates

Absence of all the harmful ingredients, what else do you need in a shampoo? So I went ahead and grabbed the same. So let’s get into the details.

Price of Palmer’s Olive Oil Formula Smoothing Shampoo:

Rs. 450 for 400ml of shampoo. Smaller sizes are not available, which makes it slightly difficult. Because if you want to try and buy then smaller size options aren’t available.

Ingredients of Palmer’s Olive Oil Formula Smoothing Shampoo:

The main ingredients are 100% Olive oil and Jamaican black castor oil.

Olive oil helps to maintain scalp and hair health. It helps in improving the quality of hair. Regular use of olive oil has got various benefits. Like it helps in treating the split ends, treating dandruff, repairing damaged hair. Dandruff is caused due to dry scalp, regular usage softens the scalp.

Jamaican black castor oil moisturizes, thicken, strengthens, and helps in hair growth. It also prevents hair breakage.

Apart from the above two featured ingredients it also has other chemical ingredients and it also contains water and glycerin.

Glycerine helps to attract moisture to hair and locks in the moisture.

The best part is it is FREE from sulfates, parabens, phthalates, gluten, and mineral oil.

What is my opinion about Palmer’s Olive Oil Formula Smoothing Shampoo?

As mentioned earlier, it has got an impressive set of ingredients and no harmful chemicals. I have tried using this shampoo with and without the application of oil for my hair before bath. I use coconut oil, I apply the same and keep it at least for an hour.

Without oil application: It cleanses your hair well. Removes all the dirt and grime. It lathers pretty well.

Oil application: If you apply oil before bath you have to use the shampoo couple of times as it does not remove all the oil even though it lathers.

It did not make my hair smooth or shiny as it claims. The main claim itself fails. The big companies shouldn’t make big claims if they are not true to them. Yes, no doubt it has got some promising ingredients and free from harmful chemicals, but it should deliver the results that it claims.

  • It has a mild fragrance that does not last that long.
  • It forms a lot of creamy lather.
  • Makes the scalp clean by removing the dirt.
  • I feel it is mild and suitable for everyday use. But it is not mentioned anywhere.

  • Smaller sizes are not available.
  • As it claims to be a smoothing shampoo, it does not smoothen my hair. It fails for the main claim of the product.

I wouldn’t recommend this shampoo if you want smooth and manageable and soft hair. This shampoo does not do the above things. But if you want a clean shampoo, free from parabens, mineral oils, etc. which is mild but at the same time lathers well and cleanses then you can go for it.

Good that you can use it frequently but pity it does not work as advertised!

I swear. Most of the companies just over exaggerate their claims.
