Even though the temperatures are not that extreme in Goa, my lips get very dry. So I grabbed this Nivea Essential Lip Balm with shea butter from a local store. So I thought of just sharing my opinions about this lip balm.
Claims of Nivea Essential Lip Balm:
The Nivea Essential Lip balm has an innovative formulation with Hydra IQ and Dexpanthenol that helps to repair dry and cracked lips immediately. It provides long-lasting moisture and leaves the lips smooth. It is 3 benefits in one lip balm – moisturizes, helps repairs, smoothens.
Nivea Essential Lip Balm Price & Packaging:
It is a very affordable lip balm. MRP is Rs. 49/- for 10 grams. I have noticed this lip balm price is just increased by Rs. 4 to 5 over a period of 5 years. It comes in a tiny cute blue coloured tube with a white cap. It comes in plastic and cardboard packaging as that of the first image. The packaging is secure. You do not get this lip balm loose. If you get the lip balm without the packaging you know it is the first copy. And beware to use such counterfeit products. It can be used for 3 years from the date of manufacturing. But it will not last for 3 years. Whenever I open any products I make sure I finish the product, because the effect of the product reduces.
What is my opinion about Nivea Essential Lip Balm with shea butter?
I need a lip balm on daily basis. My lips are dry throughout the year. And when AC is on they tend to dry even further. I always like to try new lip balms but I guess I hardly write reviews about the same. The appearance of the lip balm is similar to vaseline petroleum jelly. The difference is the Nivea lip balm gives a nice cooling sensation after application. No tingling sensation. I dislike tingling sensations.
You need to squeeze the tube to dispense the product. This tube will last for a pretty long time. It keeps my lips moisturized for at least 3 hours during the day. And when I apply it at night it provides enough hydration during the night. Some lip balm remains till moring. My only concern is the company does not disclose the ingredient list. As a consumer, we have all the rights to know what goes in the product. If the company mentions the ingredient list it will be a five-star rating considering the quality and quantity.
- Very affordable considering the quality and quantity.
- Compact and convenient packaging, that is easy to carry.
- Keeps the lips moisturized for at least 3 hours.
- Gives a nice cooling sensation to the lips. Mint like feeling.
- Not heavy on the lips.
- Easily available in the local store.
- No ingredient list mentioned.
- For extremely dry lips re-application needed for 2 to 2.5 hours.
Nivea is a trusted and reputed brand which is there in the market for ages. I wish the ingredient list was mentioned. Else it is a great lip balm. I would recommedn this lip balm for those having dry lips. Re-application is needed. Travel friendly as well.
