L’Oreal Paris Color Riche Matte lipstick Haute Rouge, Paris Cherry

Lipstick is an essential part of every girl’s makeup kit. Red shades are my favorite shades of lipstick. Since I was mad after red  shades, nothing new I’m still mad, I asked my brother to get a red shade of lipstick for me. Being my younger brother, and no knowledge about cosmetics, he could not get the difference between the 2 reds and got for me 2 shades from l’oreal Paris Color Riche matte lipstick range

1) 347 Haute Rouge
2) 349 Paris Cherry
and Oh my god I am in love with Haute Rouge.

Packaging of L’Oreal Paris Color Matte lipstick :

It comes in a sophisticated black matte packaging, and also has self-print and has a golden kind of strip on which L’Oreal Paris is embossed. At the bottom of the lipstick, lipstick shade and number is mentioned. Once you open the cap, it is golden in color and it is in bullet form. As you can see from the image, I have finished most of the  Hot Rouge shade.

The shade name and the shade code is mentioned at the bottom of the lipstick.

Price of L’Oreal Paris Color Matte lipstick:

My brother paid around £8, approximately less than a 800 bucks. I was not able to find these shades on nykaa.

Following is the hand swatch of the shades, and it is a single swipe. So you can imagine how smooth and insanely pigmented these lipstick shades are.

1) 347 Haute Rouge

It is a beautiful bright red shade for bold lips, again I’m saying I am in love with the shade.

What is my opinion about L’Oreal Paris Color Matte lipstick?

No cosmetic lover will ever say NO lipsticks. In short, No makeup is complete with a lipstick or a lip gloss. No matter how many red lipsticks I purchase and possess I am never satisfied. After all its all about Lips ;-). I read a quote somewhere, “My life may not be perfect but my lipstick is”.
I feel these are lipstick which you can carry all day long, without the feeling of something on the lips, though matte lipstick can get a little uncomfortable due to its drying nature, mattes usually dries out the lips. But these lipstick are having a semi-matte finish and do not dry out the lips at all, very comfortable and you can wear all day long. It does survive light meals but not heavy and oily meals like most of the lipsticks. Re-application is required in case of heavy meals. Great color for parties or evening look.

Pros:

• Both the shades are insanely pigmented.
• They last on the lips for 5 to 6 hours.
• Not at all drying on the lips. They are super moisturizing.
• Both the shades glide on smoothly.
• One stroke application. You get the desired color with just one swipe.
• Beautiful sophisticated packaging.
• Does survive light meals, but not oily meals like most lipsticks.
• The formulation of the lipstick is quite comfortable on the lipstick.

Cons:

• Ingredients are not mentioned, but that’s okay since its a trusted brand.
• If you want a totally matte finish, then these are not fully matte, they are kind of semi-matte.
• I do not have the lighter shades, so I really cannot comment on the same.
• Transfer a little bit, but yeah manageable.

Summary:

Both are highly pigmented shades, would definitely recommend 347 Haute Rouge if anyone is looking for that perfect red pout. If you want a little darker shade then 349 Paris Cherry would be perfect. It gives you beautifully sculpted lips. Pricing can be a little issue because drugstore brands provide lipstick which is quite reasonable than the L’Oreal ones, but these lipsticks make you forget the price paid.
