Hello Lovelies
I hope you all are doing good. I ordered the “Ellish” March month subscription box pretty late, so after trying out the body scrub I am writing a detailed review of the same. Continue reading to know more about the product.
Magic Dust is a popular brand that comes in the subscription boxes. It is said to be Organic-Fresh-Natural. The tag line itself is “Home Made Secrets” pretty impressive. As per my knowledge, this brand is not so much established in the market. But is now making a place in the subscription boxes.
Price of Magic Dust lemon body scrub:
The price of this body scrub is Rs. 550/- for ?? the quantity is not mentioned on the product. In comparison to STUDIOWEST RADIANCE Aloe Vera & Green Apple Exfoliating Body Scrub, this is a small container, I feel the quantity might be 50 grams.
It is freshly manufactured and in March 2019 itself and expiry are February 2021.
Ingredients:
It contains grape seed oil, sunflower oil, olive oil, Glycerin, lemon oil, coconut oil, Lemon Extract, PG 80, Aloe vera extract, DMDM, Laphen.
Grapeseed oil has contains fatty acids and polyphenols which prevents premature aging of the skin. It also contains Vitamin E, Vitamin C and Vitamin D which locks moisture and protects the skin.
Olive Oil also contains Vitamin E and antioxidants which protect the skin. It also adds glow to the skin.
Sunflower oil contains omega-6 acid, which has anti-inflammatory properties. It reduces redness and roughness.
Lemon oil restores the luster of dull skin. Lemon also has antiseptic properties. It also helps in removing excessive oil from the skin.
PG 80 is Propylene glycol is used in small amounts in products to prevent them from melting in high heat or from freezing.

Consistency and texture :
Body scrub, so I expected the scrub to have granules, like any other face or body scrub. I know, expectations hurt 🙁
This body scrub has consistency more of body butter. While taking shower, when I opened the car and took the contents on my fingertips, again I checked on the jar, to see whether it was mentioned body butter or body scrub.
It has a very faint and mild lemon fragrance.

What is my opinion on Magic Dust Lemon Body Scrub?
Well, when I ordered the subscription box, I was very much excited when I saw the body scrub and that too of lemon variant. I like citrus-flavored and citrus smell, refreshing products. But when I received the product I was like, Rs. 550/- for such a small container!! I would have never invested Rs. 550/- on such a tiny thing.
Pros:
- It did make my skin smooth, after a single-use.
- Promising list of ingredients.
- No harsh chemicals. Free from Paraben, sulfates and also mineral oil.
- Nice, soothing mild lemon fragrance and also it smells slightly medicated. (The medicated smell might be bothersome)
Cons:
- Firstly no claims of the product are mentioned, So basically I have no clue what the product targets whether it claims to impart smooth skin, brightness or any other.
- Quantity is not mentioned on the bottle, so you do not know you are paying Rs. 550/- for how much quantity.
- It will only be sufficient for 2 or a maximum of 3 uses.
- Being a body scrub, it should have coarse particles. (my personal opinion)
Summary:
Will, I re-purchase this product? Hell! No. Not at all. Just because I got in the subscription box, I was okay to use
Will I recommend this product? NO. I feel it is not worth Rs. 550/- you get so many better products for a smaller price tag than this.
Hope you’ll have found my review helpful. Do let me know what you’ll feel about the body scrub. Do let me know your opinion in the comment section below. Until next time. Much love.
