Hello Lovely People
When we are on a tour and traveling we prefer a compact package of all the things especially the basic things which we use like: face wash, shampoo, soap, etc. on daily basis. So today I am reviewing Khadi Natural Travel Kit 2. It is an all in one kit having 6 products. 2 Kit variants are available. So this is going to be my review on different khadi natural products. Are khadi products chemical free?
Packaging of Khadi Natural Travel Kit:
This kit comes in a jute bag having 6 essential products i.e. soap, face wash, shampoo, conditioner and a moisturiser. It has got a small info card mentioning all the details of each product, which is attached to the zip of the bag.
It contains the following products:
- Amla & Bhringraj Herbal Shampoo – 30 ml
- Green tea- Aloe vera Hair Conditioner – 30 ml
- Herbal Face Wash – 30 ml
- Rose-Honey Moisturizer – 30 ml
- Aloe vera Soap – 75g
- Rosewater Soap – 75g
Price of Khadi Natural Travel Kit:
Rs. 199 for 6 travel size products.
The brand needs no introduction. It is one of the most popular and affordable brands in India, manufacturing hand made and natural products. It is said to offer 100% paraben, SLS and mineral oil FREE products. They claim to be 100% vegetarian. Which in all is a great deal. The products from Khadi Naturals are readily available on their official site and other online shopping sites.
Description about each product:
1) Khadi Natural Amla & Bhringraj Herbal Shampoo
It is a hair cleaner, which does lather. It is effective shampoo, but the smell is not pleasant, does the job fairly well. Depending on the length of your hair you can use it for 2 to 3 times. Nothing extra ordinary or great about this shampoo, it does the job like most of the shampoos available.
But the main advantage is it is free from chemicals which are present in other shampoos.
2) Khadi Natural Green tea- Aloe vera Hair Conditioner
This conditioner does the job well. I have dry and rough hair. It did make my hair soft and manageable. It has a soothing mild fragrance unlike the herbal shampoo in the kit. You have to apply conditioner and wait for 5 to 7 minutes. Again it might be enough for 3 to 4 uses depending on the length of your hair.
I would like to elaborate on the primary ingredients. Green tea helps in treating hair fall.
Aloe vera helps in repairs the dead skin of the scalp. It also acts as a great conditioner and leaves your hair all smooth and shiny. Aloe vera promotes hair growth, prevents itching on the scalp.
As it claims it detangles hair and provides supreme shine, it did not do both the things. A little over an exaggerated claim.
3) Khadi Natural Herbal Face Wash – 30ml
This is a yellow transparent liquid, no specific fragrance as such. Removes dirt and impurities, not at all harsh on the skin. You can use this bottle several times depending on the quantity you use.
Coming to the ingredient list it contains 2 essential oils wheatgerm oil and Teatree oil.
Wheatgerm oil is loaded with Vitamins. It has Vitamin A, B and D. This oil has anti-oxidants and fatty acids. It provides moisture to the skin.
Tea tree oil is used to treat acne because of it anti-microbial properties.
This was overall okay face wash. Nothing extraordinary. I would appreciate it if it had a complete ingredient list.
4) Khadi Natural Rose-Honey moisturizer:
Khadi Natural moisturizer provides enough nourishment to the skin. It is baby pink in color and it smells like roses. It is not light-weight formulation, so you need to apply little quantity and it is heavy if applied excess. But overall okay product for me. So when I tried it for my face it seemed very heavy and I started sweating near my nose and mouth area. So I did not like it much for my face. But it worked well when I applied it to my body. It provides enough moisture and hydration.
The khadi rose and honey moisturizer is said to have anti-aging properties. It claims to prevent acne and aims for radiant skin.
5)Khadi Natural Aloe Vera Soap:
As in the image, the soap is 75g, but on the site it is mentioned as 25g. So quantity-wise it is pretty good, and as we all know that aloe vera in the right amounts is good for skin. It comes in thin film packaging.
Aloe vera contains antioxidants, enzymes, Vitamin A and Vitamin C, and has anti-inflammatory properties. It can help treat burns, acne and dry skin. As the brand says aloe vera is moisturizer and skin revitaliser.
Again somehow I feel the complete ingredient list is not mentioned.
It lathers well and it is suitable for all skin types.
6)Khadi Natural Rosewater Soap:
Khadi Natural Rosewater soap contains glycerin which attracts moisture to the skin. It is also essential for oily skin.
The next ingredient which is impressive is the germanium oil which helps in eliminating dead skin cells from the body. It also has got anti-inflammatory properties.
Having rose water extract, this soap has a pleasant rose scent but vanishes after the bath. I wish the scent could linger for some time.
It claims that it has got mild anti-septic (due to the presence of germanium oil) properties while keeping skin smooth and velvety. If you buy full-sized product of 125 grams it cost Rs. 70/-. Receiving product in the kit is steal deal.
This soap is similar in texture and usage as that of aloe vera soap. It lathers well. The base of the soap is Q.S which means quantity sufficient. But whether it is vegetable oil base or glycerine base nothing is mentioned.
Pros of all products:
- Firstly, super affordable kit.
- You can try 6 different products and check which one is suitable for you instead of buying full-sized products.
- Some products have a strong scent which could be bothersome.
- Somehow I feel the ingredient list is incomplete.
It is a great travel kit having all the essential things, at such an affordable rate. I am quite happy with the choices of the products of the kit, would definitely recommend this kit and also if anyone just wants to try certain products then buy the full size then you can buy this kit, you get 6 different products for Rs. 199. You can later try the products and buy full-sized products. So basially answering the question mentioned at the top. are khadi products chemical free? I would say the complete ingredient list is not mentioned. There should be more transparency.
