Welcome back guys and if you are new here Hi. I am Joselle.
Today we will do step by step guide to claim your WordPress website on Pinterest. Pinterest helps to get loads of traffic on your blog. And I want to try doing the same. So let us begin the journey together.

Why should you claim your website on Pinterest?
Pinterest is the fastest growing platform. It has tons of visitors every month. But the best part is if you are running a business or blog you can connect your business website or blog to Pinterest and get traffic on your blog. I have done quite some research on the internet and have seen people raving about getting huge traffic on their website using Pinterest.
The interesting part is Pinterest is absolutely free. There are many sites that claim to get traffic on your blog, but most of them are paid sites. Let us see how it goes.
There are different ways to claim, but I feel this is the simplest way.
How to Verify Your WordPress Site on Pinterest (Step by Step)
Step 1: You need to have a Pinterest Business Account.
If you do not have a Pinterest business account don’t worry you can get one. It is absolutely free. That is a great thing. Pinterest does not ask you to pay money for a personal account or a business account. Go to www.pinterest.com.
If you do not have an account, head over to https://in.pinterest.com/ and click on Sign up. Fill the fields. You need to add an email address, create a password and enter your age. Or you can use your Facebook account as well.
Next, it will ask basic questions like: How do you identify? male, female or specify another.
Following by the choice of your language and country. Select appropriate.
Nest, It will ask you your interests, what kind of posts you would like to see. You will have to select at least 5 topics like beauty, fashion, weight loss, cute animals, children clothing etc.

Once you finish creating an account, follow the below steps.
If you already have a personal Pinterest account. You can convert it to a business account. As per step 1 in the image, click on the downward arrow button. And there as per step 2 you will find the “Convert to business” option. Click on the option.

Once you click you will get a table for comparison between Personal and business account. Converting to a business account you will get analytics, audience insight, ad manager and many other options.
The next page will be something like the below image. You need to fill in the profile name. And website, in this case, add your website link. Select your country and language and click next. It will ask you to select from few options as to, why you need the interest account. Select the one that is relevant to you and save. Tada!!! You have Pinterest Business Account.

You can go to the settings options and Add your profile picture. Edit your username, write about your business etc.
Step 2: Claim your website
Click on Settings tab.
Click on the “Claim” option on the left-hand side. And next to the website option click on the claim.

Once done you will get 3 options. Add HTML tag, Upload HTML file, Add TXT record. But in this case, I will be using “Add HTML tag“. Copy that code and go to your WordPress dashboard. Now you will need a Yoast SEO plugin. I am sure most of us will have the basic version if not the paid ones.

Click on Yoast —> Social.
Those who are using the free version like me will have Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest option. Select the Pinterest option. The code that we had copied from the Pinterest site just paste in the confirmation option. And save changes.

Step 3: Go back to Pinterest.
Click on continue. The next page will ask you to again enter your website address.
And that’s it. You just claimed your WordPress website on Pinterest.
