Hello my beauties
Welcome back to my blog. The exfoliating scrub by Himalaya Herbals and it is called Gentle Exfoliating Apricot Scrub. I have used a few cleansing products from Himalaya and few were very good and few were not so good. Himalaya raves about being a natural and herbal brand, so let’s discuss the claims and results.
Himalaya Herbals Apricot Scrub Claims:
Routine cleansing does not remove the dead skin cells and deeply embedded impurities making the skin appear lifeless and prone to acne and blackheads. Hence exfoliating the skin is essential. Apricot granules gently exfoliate the skin to remove dead skin cells and blackheads and promote the growth of new cells.
Wheatgerm Oil is rich in natural vitamin E which nourishes the skin resulting in soft, supple, and radiant skin.
Can I use Himalaya apricot scrub daily?
NO. Once a week or maximum twice. Scrubs are not to be used on skin on a regular basis. It causes skin irritation like redness, inflammation, etc. If you scrub regularly it leads to open pores where the daily dirt and gunk may get accumulated and may cause skin problems like acne.
Himalaya Apricot Scrub Price:
Rs. 75/- for 50 grams of the scrub.
The elaborated benefits of key ingredients include
Apricot – the scrubs works for oily as well as normal skin types. It helps to even out your skin tone. Apricot has skin rejuvenating properties. It also helps in wrinkle reduction.
Wheatgerm oil – It helps to fight anti-aging. It also provides enough moisture to the skin and prevents skin problems like psoriasis, eczema, and dry skin.
Apple – the peel of the apple also has similar benefits as offered by the above two ingredients. It prevents premature aging and enhances skin glow.
It also contains inactive ingredients like Methylparaben IP, Propylparaben IP, and Phenoxyethanol IP.

Packaging of Himalaya Herbals Gentle Exfoliating Apricot Scrub:
It comes in a decent tube packaging with a flip cap. Tube packaging is hygienic and easy to carry. The expiry of the product is mentioned on the crimp, do not forget to check that.

Texture and Consistency of Himalaya Apricot Face Scrub:
It has got a creamy consistency and the particles are coarse. I like the exfoliating particles as they are not very fine. You get the after exfoliation feeling. I remember Studiowest Radiance Aloe Vera and green apple Exfoliating Body Scrub the particles are too fine. But this scrub consistency I find it perfect.

What is my opinion about Himalaya Herbals Gentle Exfoliating Apricot Scrub?
How to use Himalaya apricot scrub? Himalaya has recommended that you use the scrub over the damp face in circular motions. Scrub for a few minutes and then wash off with water and pat dry. It is mentioned that you can use the face scrub for 2 to 3 times a week. However, I use it only once a week.
When the scrub contains apricot the price of the same tends to increase, but Himalaya has got most of the products in the affordable range, so is this exfoliating apricot scrub.
After scrubbing I found my skin soft and supple. It did not over dry my skin. Immediate use of a moisturizer was not required. The scrub did soften the whiteheads on my nose and I was able to remove them. I have used this scrub for over 1 and a half month but exfoliation did not make me get rid of the blackheads permanently. Also, I had this scrub some years ago.
Pros:
- Affordable face scrub containing apricot.
- Easily available online and offline.
- Himalaya herbals apricot scrub is suitable for dry skin.
- A little amount is required so I will take forever to finish the tube.
- It does not dry out the skin or make it feel stretchy.
- The particles are not too fine nor too harsh on the skin, just perfect texture.
- Travel-friendly packaging.
- Tube packaging hence hygienic.
Cons:
- It contains derivatives of parabens.
- Some may not like the fragrance.
Summary:
It is a good scrub which gives a soft and supple skin after using the same. However, as mentioned earlier do not overuse it. Instead of doing better for the skin, it may have reverse effects. Keeping in mind, anything in excess is bad. You can give it a try if you are fine using parabens. It is a great product I wish paraben derivatives were absent.
