Hello my beauties
Today’s review is about a face wash by CGG Cosmetics launched by a Vj, style icon, the beautiful and evergreen Anusha Dandekar. She has launched an entire range of skincare products including face wash, scrubs, serums, etc. I have CGG Cosmetics Hyaluronic Acid 2.5% & Vitamin C Face Wash. Yes! It comes with a price tag (moderate and high in my opinion). Does it make justice to the price tag? Let’s find out.
Claims of CGG cosmetics skinny dip facewash:
CGG stands for Clean, Green, Gorgeous. This company is on a mission on empowering the incredible women you are today and every day. The products are cruelty-free, paraben-free, sulfate-free, dermatological tested, and also environmentally friendly.

Price of CGG Cosmetics Skinny Dip Hyaluronic Acid 2.5% & Vitamin C Face Wash:
Rs. 550/- for 100 ml of product. I find it a little overpriced.

Ingredients of CGG skinny dip face wash:
Hyaluronic Acid has a large number of benefits for the skin. Of lately a large number of products are including this magic ingredient. It is absorbed by the skin very rapidly and is suitable for all skin types. It helps in the reduction of wrinkles, provides moisture to the skin. Hyaluronic acid makes the skin look supple and plump.
Ethyl Ascorbic acid is a highly stable form of Vitamin C. It has anti-oxidant properties. It also helps in treating (UV)-induced photodamage.
Lauryl Glucoside has emulsifying properties and helps in lathering.
Decyl Glucoside is a very mild cleansing agent made up of coconut oil and glucose. It is so mild that it is used in baby shampoos. Also, it is used in products suited for sensitive skin. It is a plant-derived, biodegradable, and gentle cleanser.
It contains fragrance.
Coco Diethanolamide C.D.E.A. is used as a foaming agent. It is a yellow viscous liquid. And I guess the face wash got its color from this component.
B.K.C. (Benzalkonium Chloride) is the preservative. Whether an organic product or non-organic one, preservatives are needed. In order to increase the product shelf life or else they will go bad within a few days.
Demineral water is completely free or almost free of dissolved minerals.
Completely free from Parabens and Sulfates.

Directions to use CGG cosmetics facewash:
It’s normally the way you use a facewash. Moisten your face and neck with water. Take a sufficient quantity of face wash and work into a lather. Gently massage on to face in a circular motion. Rinse off with water. Pat dry. There is a caution stating irritation or allergic reactions may occur. So the patch test is advised. If skin appears normal after 24 hours continue the use.

Consistency of Skinnydip face wash:
It is a slightly thick yellow colored face wash. It has got a mild fragrance. I am not a fan of this fragrance. I believe C.D.E.A imparts viscosity and color.

What is my opinion about CGG Cosmetics Hyaluronic Acid 2.5% & Vitamin C Face Wash?
It comes in a white plastic container with a pump. I received this in one of the subscription box called F-boxx startup subscription box India. There was no outer packaging. On other websites, I have seen the outer carton packaging. The ingredient list is totally impressive. I have done research on the ingredient list and almost all ingredients are natural and not harmful. Absence of parabens, sulfates, mineral oil is a big plus point.
I take usually 3 to 4 pumps, which is sufficient for my neck and face. It does not lather much and it has a thick consistency. It makes the skin squeaky clean. The fragrance I dislike the most, it weird. Considering the presence of Vitamin C I expected the fragrance a little citrusy. I wish it was odorless. This facewash will go a long way considering the quantity used.
Facewash is something that stays on your face for a maximum of a minute or two. So my question remains will the hyaluronic acid work on the skin within a minute? Do let me know what you feel about this in the comment section below. Nothing extraordinary for the price of Rs.550/- does the job of a cleanser. Only and the main advantage is ingredients.
Pros:
- Pump packaging which is convenient.
- Excellent set of ingredients.
- It makes the skin clean.
- Does not dry out the skin.
- Cruelty-free.
- Environmental friendly.
- Sulfate-free and paraben-free.
Cons:
- Pricey considering the quantity and the results.
- Weird fragrance.
Summary:
The style icon has kept up to the name of the brand CGG by using can ingredients. Considering the price I would not buy this face wash again. Apart from cleansing no extra glow or anything. It has got many pros. But I will not buy it because there are other face washes that provide the same results for a lesser price. I am glad I got this in subscription box or else I would be sad in spending so much on a face wash that is not extraordinary.
